Job summary

Silverchain is hiring a Care Worker in Port Stephens and surrounding suburbs to help older adults maintain independence and wellbeing. You’ll provide both personal care and domestic support, drawing on your caring nature and problem-solving skills to meet varied daily needs.

With a guaranteed permanent roster, you’ll earn an award rate of 36.23 AUD per hour plus Super, Paid KM, PPE, and access to training programs including Cert 3.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months of experience in a similar professional role (care/aged care).
• Valid Australian driver's license and own insured vehicle.
• Cert 3 in Individual Support or equivalent qualifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide home help tasks: housekeeping, laundry, meal prep and shopping.
• Deliver personal care: assisting with mobility, bathing, dressing, medications.
• Support clients with dementia or high care needs and provide social/emotional support.
• Transport clients to activities or appointments and assist families as needed.
