Job summary

MacKellar invites an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our maintenance team at the Curragh Mine, located just 15 minutes from Blackwater. This permanent, full-time opportunity offers a stable career with a lifestyle-friendly 7/7 roster and access to a large fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment.

In this role you will maintain safety, reliability and performance across plant and machines, perform diagnostics, repairs and scheduled servicing, and support continuous improvement within the

Qualifications

• A recognised trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter.
• Experience on heavy mining or earthmoving equipment.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and repair skills.
• Current Queensland Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain.
• Current Queensland Driver Licence.
• A strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repairs and component change-outs on heavy mobile plant.
• Diagnostics, fault finding, inspections, overhauls and servicing.
• Planned and preventative maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
• Providing daily operational support, including refuelling as required.
• Working independently while adhering to site procedures and safety requirements.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance team.
• Ensuring all work is completed to required safety, quality and compliance standards.
