Job summary

Marymead CatholicCare is seeking a Permanency Program Manager to lead the Permanency team, oversee day-to-day casework and supervise staff across offices in Canberra and Goulburn. The role involves travel to Canberra, Goulburn and Wagga Wagga and direct contact with clients.

Based in Canberra or Goulburn, you will collaborate with the Director to deliver consistent, child-centred out-of-home care services, manage rosters and contribute to safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to supervise, develop and manage a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Working with Children Check (NSW) and Working With Vulnerable People (ACT), Unrestricted Driver's Licence & satisfactory Driver's Licence History Check, National Criminal History Check and willingness to be added to Office of Children's Guardian (OCG) Residential Care Workers Register (RCWR) at the time of reference check.

• Assist with reportable conduct investigations as directed by the Director.
• Monitor and provide input into court proceedings.
• Apply child focused case work principles.
• Liaise with Department of Communities and Justice and other government agencies as required.
• Provide clients with support, practical advice, education and information.
• Undertake a limited load of complex casework with clients as required.
• Complete necessary data collection, case notes and develop progress and final reports within required timeframes.
• Develop and monitor rosters for Permanency support workers.

Job description

Marymead CatholicCare's Permanency Program provides out of home care for children and young people. This includes foster care, restoration support, adoption, guardianship and family preservation, all with the common goal of providing permanency for the child or young person.

About the Role:

The Permanency Program Manager is an integral member of the management team involving direct supervision of staff, oversight of day to day casework tasks and decisions as well as direct contact with clients. The Permanency Program Manager will work closely with the Director of the Permanency Program to ensure efficient out of home care services and program consistency. Travel is a requirement of this role commuting between Canberra, Goulburn and Wagga Wagga offices.

This is a full time position which can be based in either Canberra or Goulburn.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:
