Job summary

Metro South Health – Logan Hospital’s Perioperative Unit is seeking an experienced Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse to deliver skilled perioperative care and support a multidisciplinary team through the perioperative journey.

You will promote patient safety, infection prevention and evidence-based practice, while mentoring colleagues and contributing to quality improvement within a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in perioperative scrub/scout nursing.
• Strong communication, teamwork and time management.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and ACORN Standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scrub and scout nursing care in line with ACORN Standards and best practice.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention and adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
• Support clinical education, mentoring and knowledge sharing within the perioperative team.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
