• Experience as a scrub nurse in perioperative settings.
• Commitment to high professional standards and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, perioperative scrub nursing in line with NMC standards and Trust policies.
• Manage perioperative care for an allocated group of patients from admission to discharge.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality throughout the perioperative journey.
• Prepare, check and maintain theatre equipment, instruments and consumables, escalating faults as needed.
• Provide skilled scrub assistance to the surgical team with aseptic technique and infection prevention compliance.
• Monitor patient condition in the scrub role and escalate concerns promptly to senior staff.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfer and handling within Trust policies and manual handling guidelines.
• Ensure accurate documentation in electronic and written systems as required.
