Qualifications

• AHPRA registration with eligibility at appropriate RN level.
• Significant perioperative nursing leadership experience in day hospital/theatres.
• Knowledge of NSQHS Second Edition and accreditation processes.
• Advanced communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and role‑model patient‑centred perioperative care reflecting City Fertility values.
• Provide clinical leadership across theatres, recovery, admission and discharge.
• Maintainclinical governance: risk management, incident reporting, learning.
• Assist commissioning of a new Day Hospital including policy development.
• Ensure accreditation readiness and NSQHS standards alignment.
• Oversee infection prevention and control systems and reprocessing standards.
• Manage adverse incident reporting to state agency LARU.
• Lead the Medical Advisory Committee and minute-taking.
• Develop theatrespecialty programs for the new day hospital.
• Collaborate with theatre lists coordinators, anaesthetists, clinicians, nursing teams, IVF lab leaders to optimise patient flow.
• Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain nursing staff; conduct performance reviews and education.
