Job summary

South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Clinical Support Officer Level 3 for Perioperative Services in Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital. The role supports nurses, medical staff and allied health with administrative tasks and patient service delivery.

You will work under Perioperative NUMs with some independent action and contribute to efficient ward operations. The position offers permanent full-time employment, with shift flexibility and opportunities for career progression within NSW

Qualifications

• Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a hospital setting.
• Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide ward/unit based administrative/transactional services under the direction of Perioperative NUMs.
• Work with ward clerks and other staff to support nurses, medical staff and allied health.</=
