South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is seeking a Clinical Support Officer Level 3 in Perioperative Services for Sydney/ Sydney Eye Hospital.

The role provides ward/unit based administrative support to nurses and medical staff, with shift times aligned to patient care needs. CPR and core values are emphasized in a high-volume hospital setting, with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, including spelling and comprehension.
• Ability to work with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work under broad supervision and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for the care team on designated ward/unit.
• Support nurses, medical staff and allied health with ward/unit activities.
• Collaborate with ward clerks and communication officers to ensure smooth operations.
• Apply established work practices with independence where needed.
