Job summary

Hastings Deering is seeking a People Services Advisor to join the People & Culture team in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. You will provide HR generalist support to leaders and employees across the lifecycle, including policies, data management, remuneration processes, and workforce mobility.

Reporting to the People Services Lead, you’ll build stakeholder relationships and contribute to continuous improvement across HR programs while working across Hastings Deering and SIME entities in Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience in a relevant Human Resources discipline, or a customer-focused support environment.
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and practical, people-focused solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to investigate issues, analyse information and determine actions.
• Strong analytical capability and attention to detail for policies, data and employment matters.
• Experience managing end-to-end HR processes with high quality and compliance.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support and service advisory to employees and leaders on People & Culture areas.
• Gain knowledge of HR policies and procedures including Parental Leave, Flexible Work Agreements, Travel, Relocation and Housing.
• Support the annual remuneration review processes, including salary progression.
• Support employee movements, transfers and promotions (domestic and international).
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and Capability to support recruitment and onboarding across Queensland and NT.
• Assist leaders in using HRIS Workday effectively.
• Maintain data integrity through changes, corrections and adjustments.
• Support monthly and ad hoc reporting of HR data.
• Contribute to HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement.
