Job summary

Allura Partners is seeking a senior People Operations leader to head a small Sydney-based team and drive APAC HR operations within our global People function.

You will oversee HR delivery, mobility and immigration, and HR systems, while guiding continuous improvement and leveraging AI/automation where appropriate. The role reports to regional/global stakeholders and runs for a 14–16 month fixed-term period.

• Broad People Operations or HR generalist experience in a sophisticated, fast-moving organisation.
• Experience leading a small team and balancing delivery with improvement projects.
• Exposure to global mobility and immigration; familiarity with HRIS like Workday.

About The Role

This is a broad People Operations leadership role with responsibility across APAC, leading a small Sydney-based team and working as part of an established global People function.

The remit spans HR operations, systems and data, mobility and immigration, alongside ongoing projects and continuous improvement. You’ll be responsible for keeping the operational foundations running well, while looking for practical opportunities to improve processes and ways of working as the business evolves.

It’s a role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail but can also step back, set priorities and lead a capable team. You’ll work closely with HRBPs and specialist teams locally and globally, as well as senior stakeholders across the business.

Skills And Experience

You’ll bring strong People Operations or broad HR generalist experience from a sophisticated, fast-moving organisation, ideally with exposure to an international or regional environment.

You’ll have experience leading a small team and be comfortable balancing day-to-day operational delivery with continuous improvement and project work. Exposure to global mobility and immigration will be particularly valuable, as will experience with Workday or a similar HRIS.

Above all, you’ll be pragmatic, commercially minded and comfortable operating in an environment where quality, pace and good judgement matter.

This is a 14-16 month fixed-term opportunity, offering a substantial runway in the role with flexibility around start date.
