Job summary

Department of Justice’s Western Plains Correctional Centre is seeking a workforce engagement officer to support staff on site. The role may include night, weekend or public holiday work and involves developing plans to create positive staff experiences, building strong relationships and advising on HR policies.

You will use staff feedback to prepare reports and guide improvements, work with managers to identify staffing needs and foster a respectful, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in human resources or helping staff feel heard and supported at work.
• Experience providing business support in government or a large private organisation.
• Skills with Microsoft Windows and Office to complete tasks and present information clearly.
• Flexibility, sound judgement and people skills to solve problems.
