Job summary

The Shift People Pty Ltd in Lismore is seeking a hands-on People & Culture Advisor to join a supportive team on a fixed-term contract through to July 2027. You will provide generalist HR advice and help deliver practical HR solutions across the employee lifecycle.

Ideally you have experience in employee relations, recruitment support, onboarding and knowledge of Australian employment legislation. This role focuses on building strong relationships with leaders and staff to enhance workplace

Qualifications

• Generalist HR advisory background across a broad range of people-related matters.
• Sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience providing advice on employee relations and performance management matters.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Excellent organisational skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Qualifications in Human Resources will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Providing timely and practical HR advice to managers and employees.
• Supporting employee relations matters, performance management and workplace issues.
• Advising on HR policies, procedures and relevant employment legislation.
• Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
• Supporting the implementation of People & Culture initiatives and projects.
• Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of HR processes and practices.
