Job summary

Westernport Region Water Corporation in Newhaven VIC is seeking a dedicated People & Culture Advisor to support the full employee lifecycle and strengthen culture. This ongoing, full-time role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, policies and employee engagement, delivering practical advice to managers and staff.

The role offers flexible options, a focus on inclusion and a safe, supportive workplace, and aligns with Band 4 pay scales. This full-time position is based in Newhaven VIC.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in People & Culture or HR.
  • Extensive end-to-end recruitment and employee lifecycle management experience.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data accuracy.
  • Strong service orientation across internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.
  • Provide HR advice on recruitment, policies, Enterprise Agreement and employment legislation.
  • Maintain employee records in SAP SuccessFactors and ensure data integrity.
  • Coordinate and deliver wellbeing, inclusion and diversity initiatives and employee engagement activities.
  • Provide payroll support and HR administration across HR functions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About the role

People & Culture Advisor – Ongoing, Full Time

Band 4 ($70,415 to $90,604)

We are seeking a passionate and skilled People & Culture Advisor to join our team and support the full employee lifecycle, with a focus on driving culture & a positive employee experience.

  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment and employee lifecycle services, including advertising, selection, onboarding and offboarding.
  • Provide practical People & Culture advice to managers and employees on recruitment, employment conditions, policies, the Enterprise Agreement and relevant employment legislation.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors), ensuring data integrity, compliance and continuous improvement of HR processes.
  • Coordinate and deliver People & Culture initiatives and programs, including wellbeing, inclusion and diversity, performance development and employee engagement activities.
  • Provide operational and administrative support across People & Culture functions, including policy development, payroll support, HR administration and shared services.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while contributing to a positive, collaborative and customer-focused People & Culture team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree and/or Diploma level qualifications in People & Culture/Human Resources or related field and/or experience in People & Culture/Human Resources practices.
  • Substantial end-to-end recruitment and employee lifecycle management experience, preferably within a government or similar setting.
  • Proven experience with HRIS processes and system functionality.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Degree and/or Diploma level qualifications in Human Resources or related field and/or experience in Human Resources administrative practices.
  • Substantial end-to-end recruitment and employee lifecycle management experience, preferably within a government setting.
  • Proven experience with HRIS processes and system functionality.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organisation and build strong relationships.
  • High level organisational and time management skills and experience in the delivery of quality administration tasks.
  • Ability to work independently to ensure solution driven outcomes.
