Weave. Recruitment is recruiting a People Consultant for a large profit-for-members financial services organisation, on a 7-month fixed term. Based in Sydney or Melbourne, this hybrid role involves 2–3 days in the office and an immediate start.

The role provides consultative people support to Senior People Partners and the broader People and Workplace function, across cyclical activities, case work, and strategic initiatives. Strong HR generalist experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Solid HR generalist background across a broad range of people activities.
• Working knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and employment legislation.
• Comfortable advising managers and employees at all levels of a large organisation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build trust with stakeholders.
• Tertiary HR qualification desirable.
• Commercial and risk-aware mindset with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Resolve escalated Tier 2 employee queries and cases across policies including performance and injury management.
• Conduct employee investigations and coach leaders through performance improvement processes.
• Support BAU cycles: performance reviews, talent reviews, remuneration review.
• Contribute to people project design, communication, data analysis and benefit realisation measurement.
• Provide tailored policy interpretation and remuneration evaluation advice.
• Support Senior People Partners with workforce planning across portfolios.

PEOPLE CONSULTANT / PEOPLE ADVISOR

Sydney or Melbourne | Hybrid, 2 to 3 days in office | $120,000 to $125,000 package inclusive of super | 7 month fixed term

A large, profit-for-members financial services organisation is appointing a People Consultant on a 7-month fixed term basis, with an immediate start. The role sits within the People Advisory and Enablement team and provides consultative people support to Senior People Partners and the broader People and Workplace function across cyclical activities, case work, and strategic people initiatives.

This is a hands-on generalist role with real breadth.

The right person brings solid HR generalist experience, strong working knowledge of Awards and Enterprise Agreements, and the interpersonal confidence to advise managers and employees at every level of the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Resolving escalated Tier 2 employee queries and cases across the full suite of people related policies, including performance, conduct, WHS, and injury management
• Conducting employee investigations and coaching leaders through performance improvement processes
• Supporting the delivery and rollout of BAU cyclical activities including performance reviews, talent reviews, and the annual remuneration review process
• Contributing to people project design and delivery, including communication and change materials, data analysis, and benefit realisation measurement
• Providing tailored advice on policy interpretation, employment instruments, job design, and remuneration evaluation
• Supporting Senior People Partners with people impact analysis and workforce planning across designated portfolios

Background Required
