Job summary

Oral Health Victoria (OHV) is seeking a HR Generalist to join our collaborative team in Melbourne. This role covers employee relations, HR systems, and partnering with frontline managers across multiple HR disciplines.

You will drive HR advice, coaching, and process improvements while contributing to Talent, IR, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, and Workplace Health & Safety initiatives. A flexible, proactive mindset and multi-tasking ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HR principles, workplace legislation and contemporary practices across HR disciplines.
• Understanding of Equal Opportunity Act and Anti-Discrimination Act, Bullying and Harassment and other applicable legislation.
• Understanding of HR data and systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with all stakeholder levels.
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Agreements and awards.
• A continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide generalist HR advice to frontline leaders and act as a trusted advisor.
• Lead people-related meetings with frontline leaders, offering HR advice and coaching in the employment lifecycle.
• Support the implementation and updating of HR systems and processes to maintain best practice.
• Review current programs within the People Services and Transformation team.
• Collaborate with the People and Culture team to develop and implement initiatives guided by the People and Operating Plans.

• $87,302.62 - $98,000 per annum + 12% super, plus up to $9,010 salary packaging

Role overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR generalist to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic chance to apply your HR skills across a range of functions, including EA interpretation, partnering with our front-line managers, systems, and projects.In addition, you will also have the opportunity to support in Talent, Industrial Relations, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, and/or Workplace Health & Safety.

This role is ideal for a true generalist looking for the next step in their career.

To succeed in this role, you will need to manage multiple priorities across multiple teams on a daily basis. A flexible and proactive attitude is essential.

You will be responsible for:

• Provide generalist HR advice in relation to employee matters to frontline leaders and act as a trusted advisor.
• Conduct people related meetings with frontline leaders, providing HR advice and coaching in all areas of the employment lifecycle
• Support the implementation of HR systems and processes and updating current systems and processes to maintain best practice
• In collaboration, review current programs within the People Services and Transformation team
• Partner with the broader People and Culture team in the development and implementation of initiatives guided by the People and Operating Plans.

About you
