Job summary

St John of God South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service (SWCADS) Bunbury invites applications for a Peer Support Worker. This part-time role focuses on delivering person-centred, strengths-based recovery support within a multidisciplinary team.

You will work closely with service users, families and partners to promote wellbeing and access to local resources. We value lived experience and expect a Certificate IV or higher in a related field, plus WA driver's licence, Working with Children

Qualifications

• To be shortlisted, applicants will have a Certificate IV or above in a related field (Community Services, AOD, Mental Health) with lived experience.
• Successful applicants must hold a WA driver's licence, a Working with Children Check and a National Police Clearance.

Working closely with GPs, hospitals, mental health services, schools, justice agencies, local governments and community organisations, we ensure people can access the right support, at the right time**About the role**We are seeking applications for a **Peer Support Worker** to join our Social Outreach team in **Bunbury**, on a **permanent part-time** basis.Working as a Peer Support Worker, you will provide the highest level of support to individuals who are provided with a service by South-West Community Alcohol and Drug Services (SWCADS). This will be achieved through the implementation of services and programs that are flexible and individualised in response to each person being supported.We value lived experience and see peer support as crucial part of the AOD recovery. Our Peer Support Worker roles are designed for individuals ready to share their journey to guide and inspire others AOD issues.
