Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service within the Queensland Government is seeking a Peer Support Worker to share lived experience of recovery and empower others on their journey.

You will work with consumers, carers and a multidisciplinary team to deliver education sessions, peer support groups and recovery-focused programs. This role emphasizes consumer voice, continuous learning and positive change.

Qualifications

• You're comfortable sharing your lived experience of mental health recovery to encourage and support others on their journey.
• Understand recovery-focused, strengths-based approaches and believe in empowering consumers to achieve their goals.
• Bring great communication skills, enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team and are keen to support peer groups and mental health education.
• Value the consumer voice, love finding ways to improve services and are confident using Microsoft Office.
