Job summary

APM is seeking a Speech Pathologist to deliver therapy across the Werribee clinic, working with children and families. You’ll assess needs, develop and implement tailored therapy plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across clinic, home, school, and community settings.

The role emphasises client-centred care, reporting, and adherence to privacy. AHPRA and SPA registrations, along with NDIA funding familiarity, are important. Flexible hours and strong support are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in solution-focused therapy and early intervention.
• Ability to adapt services to meet individual needs.
• Engage with a range of children and families and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Exceptional observational and report writing skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and autonomously in the community.

Responsibilities

• Identify and complete assessments appropriate for each client.
• Manage a discipline-specific caseload, including complex clients, using a case management approach.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust tailored therapy programs aligned to client goals.
• Deliver services across clinic, home, school, and community settings as required.
• Collaborate with allied health team members to achieve optimal client outcomes.
• Develop and deliver specialised programs such as group therapy and parent workshops.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Ensure practice aligns with best practice and contributes to service improvement.
