Job summary

Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a paediatric occupational therapist to deliver quality clinical services across the rehabilitation continuum, including inpatient, outpatient and outreach care. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide tertiary paediatric services to children and adolescents and contribute to family-centred, evidence-based care.

As experience grows, you will apply increasing clinical judgement under supervision and mentor students

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality occupational therapy clinical services across the rehabilitation caseload in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
• As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making, under clinical supervision or guidance of a more senior clinician.
• Work cooperatively and effectively within the occupational therapy and/or multidisciplinary and/or inter-disciplinary team and with patients/clients.
• Communicate with patients and their families, other health professionals, supervisors, assistants, students and researchers across hospital, home, school, community and other settings as relevant to your service area.
• Provide student education and clinical practice supervision for less experienced practitioners, commensurate with experience, under guidance of senior clinicians.
