Job summary
SA Health’s Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) Barossa, North and Southern suburbs is seeking an AAP Registered Nurse to provide direct, individualized care to children with complex health needs in educational settings, ensuring safe care delivery in line with health plans and professional standards.
This casual, fixed-term contract offers a salary in the RN/M1 band, with 12% superannuation and salary sacrifice benefits, relocation support where eligible, and SA Health’s commitment to
Qualifications
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated competence in nursing practice.
- Experience with clients with complex health care needs.
- Experience providing care involving tracheostomy, oxygen therapy and ventilation.
- Knowledge of nursing standards, legislation and quality improvement practices.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs, plan and coordinate service delivery across disciplines.
- Participate in quality improvement to enhance client safety and safe work activities.
- Provide health promotion and education to clients and carers.
- Participate in evaluative research activities.
- Review decisions and guidance from junior nurses and students.
