Job summary

Happy Hippo Kindergarten and Childcare in Brunswick, VIC is seeking a Childcare Worker (Pedagogical Leader) for a full-time, permanent role. You will oversee daily care and education across the Babies to Preschool rooms and support the service's educational program.

Reporting to the Service Leader, you will mentor educators, plan learning programs, maintain safety records, and build strong partnerships with families.

Qualifications

• A Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field, approved by ACECQA.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in an early childhood education and care setting.
• Working with Children Check and First Aid/cardiopulmonary resuscitation, asthma and anaphylaxis certification; mandatory reporting training up to date.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care and supervision for children from two months to five years, in indoor/outdoor settings.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate educational programs aligned with relevant frameworks.
• Coach educators in curriculum planning, documentation and teaching practices.
• Build partnerships with families and maintain medical, dietary and attendance records.
• Lead curriculum meetings and support professional development across the team.
