Job summary

Happy Hippo Kindergarten and Childcare Brunswick is seeking a Service Leader. You will oversee day-to-day management, ensure high-quality early childhood education, and drive operational and financial efficiency.

The role requires compliance with National Law, NQS, EYLF VEYLF, and Victoria’s Child Safe Standards, with a focus on safe, inclusive, and nurturing environments for children and families. You will lead the service team, recruit and develop staff, monitor budgets and rostering, and

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ACEQA approved).
• Experience leading in a regulated early learning environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, WHS, and financial compliance in early education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the performance and wellbeing of the service team.
• Recruit, induct, and support team members in line with service values and expectations.
• Foster professional growth through coaching, feedback, and development plans.
• Ensure compliance with National Law, Regulations, NQS, EYLF VEYLF and related standards.
• Collaborate with Operations Leader on budgets, occupancy, rostering and resources.
• Support Pedagogical Leader to ensure high-quality curriculum and pedagogy.
