Job summary

Noble Park English Language School is seeking a PE EAL Teacher to support newly arrived migrants and refugees across multiple campuses in southeast Victoria. The role focuses on English language instruction within an intensive settlement program, preparing students for life in Australia.

The successful candidate will hold VIT registration and contribute to literacy and numeracy development, assessment, and collaboration with families and staff across campuses.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated experience in planning for and implementing high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning using data to inform teaching practice and communicate growth to students and parents.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Support school policies and participate in professional learning to continually improve practice.
