Job summary

The Catholic Education Office Diocese of Wollongong – Bellambi NSW is seeking a dedicated Secondary Teacher to teach PD/HPE in a temporary full-time capacity. The role supports growth in faith and learning, helping students reach their full potential within a supportive Catholic school community.

You will plan and deliver engaging PD/HPE lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues, parents and carers to foster student wellbeing and achievement.

• Secondary Teacher - Personal Development, Health & Physical Education
• Temporary full time

A temporary full time position commencing 28 January 2027 until 26 January 2028.The successful applicant will be required to teach
PD/H/PE. The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

• Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
• Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
• Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in PD/H/PE.
• Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
• Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
• Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
• The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
