Job summary

Paxus is recruiting a PCN Engineer to design, support and improve Process Control Network environments across complex industrial operations in Perth. The role requires experience in OT/ICS, industrial networking and cybersecurity to ensure reliable operations of critical infrastructure.

The successful candidate will design PCN infrastructure, configure network devices, support integration with SCADA and collaborate on architecture and lifecycle management within mining, energy or utilities

Qualifications

• Experience with OT/ICS networks in mining, energy or manufacturing.
• Strong Ethernet, TCP/IP, routing, VLANs and network security knowledge.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or Fortinet NSE are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support PCN infrastructure within OT environments.
• Configure and maintain industrial switches, firewalls, routers and monitoring tools.
• Support integration with SCADA platforms and industrial applications.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network performance, connectivity and communications issues.

PCN Engineer:

• Full time permanent position
• Based in Perth CBD
• Experience within mining, resources, energy or other industrial/OT environments

We are seeking a PCN Engineer to design, support and improve Process Control Network environments across complex industrial operations. This role will suit an experienced industrial network engineer with strong knowledge of OT/ICS environments, network infrastructure and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and support Process Control Network (PCN) infrastructure within operational technology (OT) environments.
• Configure and maintain industrial network technologies including switches, firewalls, routers and network monitoring tools.
• Support integration activities across control systems, SCADA platforms and industrial applications.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network performance, connectivity and communications issues across critical infrastructure environments.
• Contribute to network architecture, technical standards and lifecycle management activities.

To Be Considered:

• Experience supporting industrial networks within mining, energy, utilities, manufacturing or other OT environments.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet networking, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs and network security principles.
• Experience with industrial network equipment such as Cisco, Hirschmann, Stratix, Palo Alto or equivalent technologies.
• Understanding of OT/ICS environments, including SCADA and control system architectures.

Desirable:

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE or equivalent.
