Job summary

The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) is seeking a Payroll Officer to support the fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with legislation and University requirements.

You will provide trusted advice on payroll, superannuation, taxation and employment conditions, while maintaining systems and processes to deliver high‑quality payroll services across UniSC and to staff, and you will contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in accurate preparation of fortnightly payroll within a large organisation.
• Knowledge of superannuation and taxation legislation.
• Ability to interpret employment conditions and provide quality customer service.
• Strong analytical skills and reporting capabilities.
• Proficient in HRIS, preferably PeopleSoft.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on a broad range of payroll and superannuation matters.
• Contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of the University's fortnightly payroll functions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policy and procedures.
