Job summary

BDO is seeking a Payroll Officer to deliver outsourced payroll services for a portfolio of clients in a dynamic professional services environment in Sydney. You will work with thePayroll Manager to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance across multiple client engagements.

The role emphasizes building strong client relationships, proactive service delivery, and contributing to a centre of excellence in payroll management.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' extensive payroll experience.
• Solid payroll system experience, preferably with SaaS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and client service.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage client portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Manage a customised portfolio of clients and oversee the delivery of payroll related services.
• Work with the Payroll Manager to deliver outsourced payroll services and maintain centre of excellence.
• Prepare all payroll calculations with accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage day-to-day client matters and identify opportunities to expand service offerings.
• Attend to client queries and respond appropriately.
• Plan and manage payroll transitions or implementations from other providers.
• Facilitate compliance with superannuation, Payroll Tax, PAYG and terminations.
• Maintain a consistent payroll processing approach with thorough client documentation.
