Job summary

Babcock Australasia is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Adelaide team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension. You will manage fortnightly and monthly payrolls, maintain employee records and ensure accurate, timely processing across the business, reporting to the Payroll Services Manager.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with payroll software such as SuccessFactors, ADP or Dayforce, and a commitment to data integrity in a defence-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Australian citizen with Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of payroll operations, HR processes and compliance.
• Experience with HR systems and payroll software.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Maintain accurate employee records and payroll-related compliance.
• Support payroll-related activities (Superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, workers compensation).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve payroll systems and processes.
