Job summary

Perigon Group, based in North Sydney, seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist to navigate the acquisition transition and keep payroll running smoothly. You will own superannuation processing, STP lodgement, payroll tax across multiple jurisdictions, and GL reconciliations while collaborating with Finance, P&C, and external bodies like the ATO.

In this role you will support month-end and year-end payroll accounting and drive process improvements, leveraging SAP HR/Payroll and strong Excel skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Super Guarantee, STP and payroll tax required.
• Experience with multi‑jurisdiction payrolls preferred.
• Relevant payroll or accounting qualification required.

Due to a recent acquisition there is an urgent requirement for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the business. You will be required to keep things running smoothly through the transition.

This isn't a "process and forget" payroll role. You'll own superannuation processing, STP lodgement, payroll tax across multiple jurisdictions, and GL reconciliations — while working closely with Finance, P&C, and external bodies like the ATO.

What you'll be doing:

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (Super Guarantee, STP, payroll tax)
• Hands-on experience with SAP HR/Payroll (or similar systems)
• Solid GL and balance sheet reconciliation experience
• Advanced Excel skills and a genuinely analytical mindset
• Comfort interpreting awards and enterprise agreements
• A relevant payroll or accounting qualification
