Job summary

TAL Australia is seeking a Payroll Services & Compliance Manager to lead accurate and compliant payroll processing in Sydney, NSW. The role drives governance, automation, and stakeholder engagement while developing a high-performing payroll team.

You will oversee regulatory compliance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency and employee experience within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing and developing payroll teams.
• Strong expertise in HRIS platforms, especially Dayforce; exposure to Workday and ServiceNow.
• Ability to map processes and drive operational improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of accurate, compliant payroll services within deadlines.
• Oversee payroll governance, compliance with regulations and audits.
• Drive automation and process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Provide coaching and development to the Payroll Services team.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and escalate as needed with data-driven insights.
