Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Payroll Analyst Team Lead in Brisbane to manage audit and compliance activities and to lead historical payroll analysis and reconciliation of entitlements across systems and records.

The role reports to the Australia and New Zealand Payroll Manager and requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, within a collaborative payroll team of 10.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years end-to-end payroll experience.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience managing staff.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with complex formulas.
• Experience with Aurion and/or PeopleSoft payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll audit and compliance activities across systems and records.
• Oversee historical payroll analysis and reconciliations of entitlements.
• Manage a small team of Senior Payroll Analysts with task delegation.
• Liaise between Payroll, HR, IT and Legal to resolve issues.
• Run payroll testing and quality control activities as needed.

Job description

Reporting to the Australia and New Zealand Payroll Manager, we are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst Team Lead to manage audit and compliance activities and lead historical payroll analysis and reconciliation of entitlements across systems, employee records, and employment conditions. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who quickly understands payroll environments and effectively liaises between Payroll, HR, IT, and Legal. You would be part of a payroll team of 10; this Brisbane-based role requires a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced knowledge and experience in end-to-end payrolla must
• Experience working with complex payroll datasets and undertaking detailed reconciliations and calculations
• Strong analytical and investigative capacity with the ability to connect the dots across data, systems, processes and employment conditions
• Demonstrated experience working on payroll remediation and compliance projects
• Supervisea team of 2Senior Payroll Analyst with daily tasking and delegation where appropriateand attend cross functional meetingson behalf of the Payroll Manager
• Ability to manage internal escalationsand complex scenarios
• Strong attention to detailwith the ability to manage communicate at all levels (speak at technical level, also speak in plain English)
• High attention to detail with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, translating technical concepts into clear plain English.
• Drivepayroll audit and compliance;overseeingcompliance checks andquality control audits
• Payroll testing experience would be desirable but not necessary (Writing test scripts, defect management, status updates etc.)

Experience/Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 to10 yearsend to end payroll experience
• Previous experience in supervisory, team lead, or management role overseeing staff
• Must have advanced Microsoft Office Excel skillswith experience with complex formulas
• Experience in Aurion and or PeopleSoft highly desirable
