Job summary

Mercy Health in Richmond, Victoria is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our friendly payroll team. You will be responsible for accurately processing and managing fortnightly payroll for 2000+ employees and work closely with HR and finance to ensure compliance.

You should bring excellent payroll knowledge, strong time management and a compassionate approach to service. Evidence of a Police Record Check will be required; experience interpreting EBAs and Awards is valuable.

• Maintain and update employee records in Payroll system.
• Handle payroll-related queries and provide timely resolution.
• Prepare reconciliations for leave balances and backpays.
• Interpret complex EBA's and Awards.

About the opportunity

As a Payroll Officer, you will work in our friendly and supportive payroll team and be responsible for accurately processing and managing payroll fortnightly. You will work closely with our HR & finance team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and provide exceptional service to our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process end-to-end payroll for 2000+ employees on a fortnightly basis.
• Maintain and update employee records in Payroll system.
• Handle payroll-related queries from employees and provide timely resolution.
• Prepare reconciliations for leave balances and backpays.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes and enhance accuracy.
• Interpret complex EBA's and Awards
• Process terminations.
