Job summary

Greencross Vets, based in North Ryde, NSW, invites applications for a Payroll Officer to join the People Tech team. You will deliver accurate payroll for more than 7,000 employees across weekly and fortnightly cycles, ensuring timely payments and compliant records.

You will work with SAP EC Payroll and UKG, support award interpretation, and strive to improve payroll processes in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. A collaborative, customer-focused culture awaits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience processing high-volume payroll in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of SAP EC Payroll and time-and-attendance systems such as UKG.
• Experience working in, or supporting, a multi-site environment.
• Experience interpreting and applying awards.
• Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and the ability to prioritise deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the accurate and timely administration of payroll across the group.
• Process weekly and fortnightly payroll end to end, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
• Maintain accurate payroll, personnel, and time-and-attendance records.
• Assist with superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG, workers compensation, and award compliance.
• Prepare accurate reporting to support business decision-making.
• Develop, document, and improve payroll procedures in line with legislation.
• Communicate clearly with store, clinic, support office, and senior leadership teams.
• Respond to payroll enquiries in a timely, helpful manner.
• Collaborate with payroll team and wider business to improve processes.
