Qualifications

  • Education, training and/or payroll processing experience, equivalent to the completion of a degree.
  • Ability to maintain and apply an up-to-date understanding of legislative and compliance requirements relating to Payroll Services.
  • Demonstrated ability to enter data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a client service environment, using interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with diverse client groups.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to manage high volume tasks in a time sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrated record of applying problem solving skills to resolve payroll or customer service issues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.

Job description

  • Remuneration: $95,981 to $108,257 pa (HEW5) (inclusive of $81,105 to $91,478 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join Human Resources, People Services, Administrative Division.

The Payroll Officer delivers high quality, client focused and operational payroll services to clients within QUT and works within a dedicated team to perform a broad range of duties relating to the University’s fortnightly payroll function.

What You Need To Succeed
