Job summary

TJX Australia, home of TK Maxx, is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations across Australia, ensuring accuracy and compliance while partnering with HR, Finance and Operations. You’ll coach a high-performing team and drive process improvements across multiple frequencies and employment types.

This is a hybrid role with strong development opportunities. You will collaborate with stakeholders, oversee audits, and implement system enhancements to optimise payroll delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large, complex payroll functions.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Proven people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing payroll audits, reporting and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with enterprise payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple frequencies and employment types.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards, and superannuation requirements.
• Coach and develop a high-performing payroll team.
• Manage payroll controls, audits, reporting and risk mitigation.
• Partner with HR, Finance and operations to resolve payroll matters and drive improvements.
• Lead payroll system enhancements and testing.
