Job summary

Allura Partners is partnering with a well established ASX-listed organisation to recruit a Payroll Manager overseeing payroll across Australia and international operations. You will report to the Shared Services Manager and lead a midsized team, focusing on accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and collaboration with HR, IT and Finance.

The role offers the opportunity to shape the function over time, with potential for process improvements and enhanced payroll support during business change.

Qualifications

• Experience leading payroll for multiple entities across Australia and internationally.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance.
• Experience with SAP payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to ensure payrolls are processed accurately and paid on time to employees, super funds and authorities.
• Overseeing delivery of payroll projects, including compliance activity, to standards and timeframes.
• Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships to improve customer service and drive down the cost of payroll delivery.
• Developing and mentoring the team.
• Ensuring system updates and legislative changes are reflected across payroll systems and processes.
• Continually analysing payroll processes to improve speed and quality of processing.

Job description

We are currently partnering with a well established ASX listed organisation on the search for a Payroll Manager to lead their payroll function across Australian and international operations.

Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, this role takes full ownership of a midsized team of payroll professionals. The initial focus will be on stability: accurate, on time payroll, tight compliance and strong relationships with HR, IT and Finance. From there, there's genuine scope to shape how the function runs longer term, from system and process improvements through to how payroll supports the business through periods of change.

The key duties of the role will include but not be limited to:

• Leading the team to ensure all payrolls are processed accurately and paid on time to employees, super funds and statutory authorities
• Overseeing delivery of payroll projects, including compliance activity, to agreed standards and timeframes
• Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships to improve customer service and drive down the cost of payroll delivery
• Developing and mentoring the team
• Ensuring system updates, EBA changes and legislative requirements are reflected across all payroll systems and processes
• Continually analysing payroll processes and systems to improve the speed and quality of processing

The ideal candidate will be:

• Strong across payroll legislation and systems preferably with SAP payroll experience
• Comfortable operating in a complex, decentralised environment
• Skilled in project management and organisation
• Experienced in an integrated employee self-service environment
• A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
