Job summary

Michael Page Australia is recruiting for a Payroll Implementation Specialist to support the rollout of a new payroll solution across PNG operations. This Brisbane-based contract will involve hands-on testing, go-live preparation, and post-implementation support, with occasional travel to PNG to assist testing and training.

You will lead UAT, document defects, ensure payroll accuracy, and work with key stakeholders and implementation partners to deliver a smooth transition to the new payroll

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or supporting payroll system implementations.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and testing methodologies.
• Experience running UAT and defect management within an implementation environment.
• Experience with large-scale HRIS or payroll platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a new payroll system for PNG operations.
• Lead payroll testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Identify, document and resolve system defects and payroll issues.
• Validate payroll outcomes and ensure accuracy throughout testing cycles.
• Work closely with project teams, payroll stakeholders and implementation partners.
• Provide training and support to end users.
• Assist with go-live preparation and post-implementation support.
• Travel to PNG to support testing, training and implementation activities.
