Job summary

KPMG Australia in Sydney is seeking a Payroll Compliance professional to drive diverse engagements, apply expertise, and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

You will analyse large payroll and time data, develop SQL/Python/Excel models, and translate business and legal requirements into technical data specifications for client presentations. The role covers end-to-end wage remediation, data quality checks, and final reporting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex data clearly.
• Solid understanding of audit and accounting practices.
• Proven leadership with ability to direct a team on payroll remediation projects.
• Experience building client relationships and delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large payroll and time data to identify discrepancies and wage compliance issues.
• Develop SQL, Python, and Excel data models to support payroll recalculations.
• Translate business and legal requirements into technical data specs and reports.
• Deliver end-to-end wage remediation engagements from scoping to final reporting.
• Prepare client-ready reports and data visualisations communicating risks and outcomes.
