Job summary

Randstad is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join a fast-paced People & Culture team supporting a nationwide workforce of around 4,500 employees. You will process high-volume pay runs, manage end-to-end transactions, and ensure data accuracy across multiple payroll platforms, while working with senior payroll leaders and operational specialists.

In this role, you will interpret EBAs and awards, maintain reporting integrity, and collaborate with Finance, Treasury and HR teams to resolve

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise HRIS/payroll/TA platforms such as SAP, Dayforce, Chris21 or SuccessFactors.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel with analytical troubleshooting ability.
• Proven track record in high-volume payroll environments.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative team attitude.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume fortnightly pay runs and monthly schedules accurately and on time.
• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions (onboarding, data, parental leave, complex terminations).
• Utilise HRIS and time & attendance systems to ensure data flow and reporting accuracy.
• Perform payroll reporting, compliance checks, STP filings, superannuation, and audits.
• Interpret and apply EBAs and modern awards across full-time, part-time, and casual staff.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury and People & Culture to resolve payroll inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high-volume fortnightly pay runs and monthly pay schedules accurately and on time.
• Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions including onboarding, data management, parental leave, and complex terminations.
• Utilize enterprise HRIS and time & attendance systems to ensure seamless data flow and reporting accuracy.
• Perform payroll reporting, compliance checks, STP (Single Touch Payroll) filings, superannuation processing, and audit reviews.
• Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements (EBAs) and modern awards across full-time, part-time, and casual workforce groups.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, and People & Culture teams to resolve centralized payroll inquiries efficiently.

Key Requirements & Experience

• System Expertise: Experience working with major enterprise HRIS, payroll, or T&A platforms (e.g., SAP, Dayforce, Chris21, or SuccessFactors).
• Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills with strong analytical ability to troubleshoot system logic (understanding the \"how\" and \"why\").
• Background: Proven track record in medium-to-large fast-paced corporate environments handling high-volume fortnightly pay runs.
• Communication & Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a positive, collaborative attitude and a willingness to assist peers.
