Job summary

me&u is seeking a Principal Product Manager - Payments to own the payments platform across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US. The role is Melbourne or Sydney based and fixed-term through December 2027.

You will drive strategy, pricing and the product roadmap with engineers, designers and GTM partners, shipping AI-powered prototypes and coordinating with finance and legal to ensure compliant, scalable payments.

Qualifications

Experience leading payments on a platform or marketplace
Understanding interchange, scheme fees and payouts
Ability to prototype with AI and ship quickly
Strong communication with senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

Define strategy and roadmap for platform and products with cross‑functional teams
Make pricing, packaging and value-case decisions based on business outcomes
Prototype with AI and deliver clickable prototypes to venues and guests
Monitor metrics: authorization rates, cost per transaction, disputes and payout timing
Navigate regulatory changes across jurisdictions and implement in product
Collaborate with payment partners to keep platform running smoothly
