Job summary

Macquarie's Banking and Financial Services Payments team delivers technology and payment capabilities to enable customers across Consumer, Business and Wealth Banking to move money securely and efficiently. As a Payments Business Analyst, you will act as the link between business stakeholders, product teams and engineers, shaping and delivering payment initiatives across our banking platforms.

You will translate business needs into clear requirements, ensuring solutions align with customer

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in payments or financial services.
Experience gathering and documenting requirements, facilitating workshops, mapping processes and translating complex problems into clear outcomes for delivery teams.
Knowledge of Australian payment systems and industry standards, including real-time payments, direct entry payments, bill payments and payment messaging frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting data, identifying risks and collaborating with technical teams to shape effective solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in agile delivery environments and applying AI tools and responsible AI practices to support analysis, documentation and decision-making processes.
