Job summary

Sunshine Coast Health in southeast Queensland is hiring a Patient Support Assistant to join the Food Services team. You will help deliver high quality meals, plating and presenting for distribution to inpatient units, while keeping a clean and safe kitchen and handling stock.

This permanent full-time role offers a competitive remuneration range of 65,719 to 70,118 AUD per year, plus employer contributions to superannuation and annual leave loading, with opportunities for career development

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
• Experience handling food storage and stock rotation.

We're excited to welcome a Patient Support Assistant to our Food Services team!

As a Patient Support Assistant, improving the patient's experience is the focus of your daily tasks, both directly and indirectly. You will take pride in the high quality and nutritional food and beverage service you deliver by preparing, plating and presenting meals for distribution. You will work as part of a dynamic team following procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment and receiving, storing and rotating stock.

Operational Support Services includes Integrated Operational Support Services and Food Services. The Integrated Operational Support Services provides the resources to support cleaning, linen supply, waste collection and staff for patient movement (porterage). Food Services is specifically responsible for the production and delivery of meals including menu planning and management, the preparation of patient meals, stocking of unit pantries and beverage bays throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the preparation of food items and prepare sandwiches and salads.

Salary between $65,719 - $70,118 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (OO2) (Permanent full time, 76 hrs).
