Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Patient Services Assistant - Housekeeping at Buderim Private Hospital. The role offers casual terms with a base rate of $29.89 per hour plus casual loading, superannuation and NFP salary packaging options.

The successful candidate will provide cleaning services across patient rooms, wards and clinical areas, while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Able to work across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong communication and teamwork to support patient care.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and use of industrial cleaning equipment.
• Willingness to obtain vaccinations and pass national criminal history checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide housekeeping/cleaning services in patient rooms, wards, offices, theatres and procedural areas.
• Clean, maintain, store or retrieve equipment as required in the work area.
• Join a large team delivering 24/7 facility support to keep patients, visitors and staff safe.

• Employment Term: Casual Opportunity Available
• Remuneration: $29.89 p/hr + Casual Loading + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our Buderim Hospital team

As part of our Housekeeping team, you will be accountable for providing exceptional cleaning services in our patient rooms, wards, offices, theatres and procedural areas. You will work with industrial level cleaning equipment, ensuring safe and hygienic environmental services are provided to the hospital. In addition to this you will:

• Conducts quality support services in a safe environment that meets the needs of all hospital customers
• Provide a housekeeping / cleaning service within the hospital environment. Clean, maintain store or retrieve equipment in work area as requested
• Join a large team that supports our facility 24/7, and plays a vital part in ensuring our customers, visitors and staff remain safe at work

What makes a difference for us?

• Previous experience as a Cleaner/Housekeeping person or in a hospital/nursing environment, with a knowledge of infection control guidelines and standard health precautions
• Flexibility to work across all shifts - mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
• Exceptional communication skills, with a team focus to provide excellent customer service for the hospital, its patients and staff
• Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment
• Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
