Job summary

Buderim Private Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Assistant in Housekeeping on a casual basis. You will provide high-quality cleaning services across patient areas, offices and theatres, using industry-standard equipment to maintain safe, hygienic conditions.

Join a large, 24/7 team under UnitingCare Queensland with a focus on patient comfort, safety and excellent service delivery. Relevant hospital experience and strong teamwork are desirable.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Cleaner/Housekeeping in hospital or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of infection control guidelines and standard health precautions.
  • Flexibility to work across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and housekeeping services in patient rooms, wards, offices, theatres and procedural areas.
  • Utilize industrial cleaning equipment ensuring safe and hygienic environments.
  • Clean, maintain, store or retrieve equipment as requested.
  • Support facility operations 24/7 as part of a large team to keep patients and staff safe.

Patient Services Assistant - Housekeeping | Buderim Private Hospital

Employment Term: Casual Opportunity Available | Location: Buderim Private Hospital, Sunshine Coast | Remuneration: $29.89 p/hr + Casual Loading + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our Buderim Hospital team As part of our Housekeeping team, you will be accountable for providing exceptional cleaning services in our patient rooms, wards, offices, theatres and procedural areas. You will work with industrial level cleaning equipment, ensuring safe and hygienic environmental services are provided to the hospital.

In addition to this you will:

  • Conducts quality support services in a safe environment that meets the needs of all hospital customers
  • Provide a housekeeping / cleaning service within the hospital environment.
  • Clean, maintain store or retrieve equipment in work area as requested
  • Join a large team that supports our facility 24/7, and plays a vital part in ensuring our customers, visitors and staff remain safe at work
What makes a difference for us?
  • Previous experience as a Cleaner/Housekeeping person or in a hospital/nursing environment, with a knowledge of infection control guidelines and standard health precautions
  • Flexibility to work across all shifts - mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a team focus to provide excellent customer service for the hospital, its patients and staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning chemicals and industrial cleaning equipment
  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
