Patient Service Assistant – Far West Local Health District

Location: Broken Hill NSW

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (3 month contract)

Hours per Week: 38

Remuneration: $32.53 per hour + Super

Responsibilities

• Ensure areas are cleaned according to Infection Control policies to reduce the risk of infection for staff, patients and visitors.
• Perform general cleaning duties including toilets, hand basins, bed screens, curtains, doors and door frames; sweep, mop, dust, remove clinical waste, restock linen and toiletries.
• Assist nursing staff with repositioning and lifting of patients and transport patients to various departments and locations as directed.
• Attend to pathology, X‑ray and prescription requests.
• Service and distribute patient meals, water jugs and menus; set up meal trays and ensure patients receive their morning, afternoon and evening meals.
