Let’s make a meaningful difference, together!**Your part in our Buderim Hospital team**The Patient Safety Officer will be responsible for various aspects of the hospital-wide patient quality and safety system.They will provide expertise and leadership to support the incident management system and related patient activities for the purpose of measurably improving patient safety.**What makes a difference for us?****Essential*** Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health related discipline* Knowledge of risk management principles and issues regarding patient safety* Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in health service delivery with appropriate clinical knowledge, experience and skills is essential including an understanding of care processes provided in multiple areas of a health care facility.* Able to process sensitive information whilst maintaining confidentiality.* Demonstrated experience in developing working relationships to achieve identified outcomes and an ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Advanced computer skills including experience in the use of computer software (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint).* Ability to self motivate, work independently and works well under pressure.* Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation, acts, policies and the National Healthcare Standards* Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment**Desirable*** Experience in hospital accreditation processes* Experience in leading or assisting with clinical investigations, including RCA**What makes a difference for you?*** **NFP Salary Packaging:** Save tax and increase your take home pay by salary packaging your everyday living expenses and bills (up to $15,900) and meal entertainment (up to $2,650) per annum.
