Job summary

NSW Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join Belmont Hospital as a Facility Flow Coordinator, coordinating patient flow, admissions, transfers and timely discharge planning to ensure right care at the right time.

You will work with nursing, medical, allied health and operational teams, using clinical judgement to respond to changing demand and support safe patient care. Join a collaborative, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient flow, bed management or operational coordination is highly regarded.
• Experienced nurses with leadership skills looking to develop in patient flow are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Responding to changing patient demand and capacity pressures.
• Providing clinical leadership during periods of increased activity.
• Escalating issues and working with key stakeholders to identify practical solutions.
• Using patient flow information to support operational decision-making and communication.
• Contributing to quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient flow, access and patient outcomes.
