Y Schools Queensland Junior Logan Campus are recruiting a Pathways Lead (Junior) on a Permanent Full-Time basis to join our team based in Kingston.

This role focuses on supporting wellbeing programs, developing pathway classes aligned with our framework, and working with staff across sites to deliver high-quality pathways for students. You will engage with VET, employability and career development contexts to empower young people.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Career Development is required or significant demonstrated Youth Work/VET experience.
• Significant demonstrated recent experience with young people in a VET environment at risk.
• Ability to create comprehensive industry-specific programs with hands-on experiences and employment links.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• National Police Check and positive notice Blue Card per Working with Children Act 2000.
• Completion of YMCA Safeguarding Children Training and annual refreshers.

Responsibilities

• Support and champion the Wellbeing Programs that provide the framework for operations.
• Create, implement and deliver Pathway classes aligned with the Framework.
• Participate in Professional Development and Review to develop practice as Pathways Lead Junior and expertise in VET and employability.
• Collaborate with staff across all sites.
• Build and maintain relationships with students to support wellbeing needs through the program.
• Provide high-quality customer service to the wider community.
