Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education in Burpengary is seeking a Middle Leader to drive curriculum development and teaching quality across St Eugene College. You will align programs with national and state standards, supervise staff, and use data to inform decisions.

In this role you will lead professional learning, mentor teachers, and manage budget resources while collaborating with Senior Leadership to shape future directions for the school.

Responsibilities

• Leading the overall curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation across the school under the direction of Senior Leadership.
• Applying contemporary learning and teaching research to classroom practice through whole-school professional development and targeted support for teacher improvement.
• Collaborating with Curriculum Leaders, teaching staff, and Senior Leadership to review curriculum frameworks and plan future directions.
• Leading teacher performance through professional dialogue, reflective practice, and formal/informal goal setting and appraisal.
• Staying current with curriculum and pedagogy developments and guiding whole-school professional learning accordingly.
• Providing induction and mentoring for beginning teachers in collaboration with Senior Leadership and Curriculum Leaders.
• Supervising student learning across the school using internal and external data, and implementing strategic interventions.
• Contributing to school leadership through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
• Managing financial and material resources within the curriculum area, including budget planning and expenditure.
