Job summary

Opal HealthCare is seeking compassionate Pathway Carers to join our communities in Queensland. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience, with full training through the Opal HealthCare Academy and a structured pathway toward a long-term career in aged care.

You will work alongside experienced care teams, assisting residents with daily care and social connection, while developing the skills needed for a rewarding future in aged care. No prior aged care experience is required.

Qualifications

• No prior aged care experience required; training provided through the Opal HealthCare Academy.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday across communities and follow guidance from clinical team.
• Legal right to work in Australia and ability to pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living tasks in a respectful way.
• Build genuine relationships and provide meaningful social connection.
• Assist with non-clinical care, including meals, laundry and environment.
• Learn on the job while progressing toward Certificate III.
• Work alongside experienced care teams in a supportive setting.

This role has been designed as an entry pathway into aged care, providing you with hands-on experience, structuredlearning and the opportunity to build a meaningful long-term career supporting older Australians.

Working alongside experienced care teams and under the guidance ofour clinical team,you'llassistresidents with their daily care, wellbeing, socialconnectionand quality of life while developing the skills and knowledgerequiredfor a rewarding future in aged care.

Nopreviousaged care experience isrequired-we'llprovide the training,supportand career pathway to help you succeed via the Opal HealthCare Academy!

WhatYou’ll Do:

• Support residents with daily living tasks in a safe and respectful way
• Build genuine relationships and provide meaningful social connection
• Assistwith non-clinical care, including meals,laundry and environment
• Work alongside experienced care teams in a supportive setting
• Learn on the job while working towards your Certificate III

You will have:

• The ability to work Monday to Friday on AM morning shift
